THE CURRY & PAXTON
JOHN LENNON EXPERIENCE
Buy a pair of Lennon inspired sunglasses and you are invited to collect them from his former London and enjoy a glass of Champagne on your arrival.
Curry & Paxton’s limited edition JOHN model is inspired by the former Beatle’s iconic eyewear of choice and was designed in the Mason & Sons studio at 34 Montagu Square - the former home of John Lennon and Yoko Ono.
The couple famously occupied the premises in 1968, during which time they reportedly lived on a diet of "Champagne, caviar and heroin". It was also at Montagu Square that the two posed nude for their controversial “Two Virgins” album cover.
On 23rd October 2010, Yoko Ono unveiled an English Heritage Blue Plaque at Montagu Square, marking it as a “Building of Historical Interest” and to commemorate the anniversary of the unveiling, Mason & Sons are offering a unique shopping experience.
Rather than merely shopping online, we are offering our customers the opportunity to visit the former home of John Lennon to receive one of the 45 pairs of limited edition JOHN sunglasses from Curry & Paxton. Guests will be offered a complimentary glass of Champagne (sorry, no caviar or heroin), as well as having their photograph taken in the rooms where Paul McCartney composed “Eleanor Rigby” and Jimi Hendrix wrote “the Wind Cries Mary”.
